New Class! – Urban Zen Integrative Therapy

We are so excited to announce that Rebecca South will be offering her Urban Zen Integrative Therapy class on Sundays at Koa Fit!

Urban Zen Integrative Therapy® classes are ideal for anyone recovering from injury, illness or the stresses of everyday life. These classes, led by trained Urban Zen Integrative Therapy® practitioner, Rebecca South, include gentle and accessible yoga postures and movement sequences, together with Reiki, breath work, aromatherapy, and mindfulness meditation. This is your time to soften, settle and unwind.

Urban Zen Integrative Therapy on Sundays

Koa Fit’s Rebecca South is now teaching live yoga classes every Sunday at 1pm. Listen below to hear Rebecca talk about the class and its restorative and healing aspects. In this quick audio, she goes over the active and restorative portions of the class, its use of aromatherapy and reiki, and the changes she has seen in participants over her 8 years of teaching this class.

Fit 4 Prevention Donation Class for Cancer Prevention

We’re joining forces with Keep A Breast to get #Fit4Prevention! Did you know that 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week lowers your risk of developing breast cancer by 30-50 percent?

Sign up for our donation class (suggested donation $20). On Wednesday, October 17th at 12pm, we will host a donation-only yoga class led by the wonderful, Rebecca South. Your donation will help Keep A Breast continue to empower young people around the world with breast health education and support!

Meet the Intern – 10 Questions with Rebecca South

We sat down with our new intern, Rebecca, to get to know a little about her.  Read on to learn about this Colorado native’s love for movement and baking.

Where did you grow up?

Niwot, Colorado

Who is your family?

Joshua, Husband

Jackson and Sebastian, 5 yr-old energetic, redhead, twin boys

What do you spend most of your time doing?

Chasing my boys, moving in a class, laughing, and connecting with lovely people.

What’s your favorite hobby?


What’s the coolest thing you have done recently?

We moved from NYC and began a new life in Boulder. So, all the Colorado joys of skiing, hiking, biking, and breathing are the coolest things.

Where is the coolest place you have EVER been?

Tough………… Coonor, India

What is one thing that would surprise people about you?

I can only find a place after I have walked or rode a bike to it first.

How did you get interested in movement and exercise?

I started dancing at 3 yrs old, and never stopped. I find movement to be the best way to communicate with people who are movers, or not.

What are you most excited to learn at Koa Fit?

A fresh look at a people. Seeing their body discrepancies and guiding them to heal themselves through re-patterning movements.

What is one thing you want people to know about you?

Newly back to Boulder, I spent 20 years traveling, dancing, and training people in NYC.

Koa Fit has been a warm welcome back. I can see why people flock to the space.
