Thanksgiving Day, 9am

Join Brenna Backe on Thanksgiving day at 9am for an amazing full-body workout. Get your strength training, cardio, and stretching done before the feast. We will start with a nice warm up, followed by a circuit of exercises designed for postural alignment, functional strength, and of course…A Strong Core! Fit 4 Prevention Donation Class for Cancer Prevention

We’re joining forces with Keep A Breast to get #Fit4Prevention! Did you know that 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week lowers your risk of developing breast cancer by 30-50 percent?

Sign up for our donation class (suggested donation $20). On Wednesday, October 17th at 12pm, we will host a donation-only yoga class led by the wonderful, Rebecca South. Your donation will help Keep A Breast continue to empower young people around the world with breast health education and support!

Our goal is to raise $500 for Keep A Breast during the month of October.  If you can’t join us at our class, please consider donating online by clicking here.

Hike with Koa Fit

Join us and enjoy the last days of summer as we take a mellow hike at Chautauqua on Friday, August 24th at 9am.  This hike is open to all levels.  We are expecting the loop will take a little less than 2 hours.  Park at the main trailhead off of Baseline and we will meet you at the start of the trails by the Baseline entrance.

6th Annual Stand Up Paddleboarding with Koa Fit

Friday, July 27th 8am-10am

This will be our 6th year out on the water with Rocky Mountain Paddleboards.  Join the Koa Fit crew on July 27th out at the Boulder Reservoir for some Stand Up Paddleboarding as part of our Be Balanced Community Series. Enjoy the early morning light and the calm water as you get a great core and balance workout. Paddleboarding is easy to learn and fun. Explore the Reservoir in a completely different and rewarding way.

This event has sold out the last three years.  Please reserve your spot early.

Missy’s Bon Voyage Party

In many ways the sport of distance running is beautifully simple, all you do is lace up your shoes and head out the door. But even though endurance sports provide an opening to greater health, happiness and confidence, there’s no easy way of running. Sometimes it hurts! There certainly are many ways to make it easier however. Knowledge, training, and coaching can dramatically increase your efficiency and enjoyment while reducing the risk of injury and burnout.
This talk will speak to those who want to improve their health and speed in order to run 5K,10K or move up to 1/2 marathon distance. As well as those who couldn’t care less about racing, who simply want to fall in love with running more and discover a new direction for themselves.

Koa Fit Potluck and Singing Concert with Siri Nicolella

May 12th, 3pm-6pm at the home of the Readey’s

Join the Koa Fit crew for a potluck and singing concert from Siri Schubert Nicolella! Our awesome clients, Mary Beth and Michael Readey have offered their amazing home to host this event. Party starts at 3pm with Siri singing at 4pm. Bring finger foods, salads, or snacks to share. There will be chicken provided. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, please ring your own alcohol. Also, we love furry friends, but please leave them home for this event.

Low Back Pain Community Workshop

Part of the Be Balanced Community Event Series

Do you have low back, hip, or leg pain?  Are you unsure of the cause or the source of your pain?  Join us for a free community workshop with Physical Therapist, Katharine Hauge and Koa Fit owner and Personal Trainer, Brenna Backe to learn what your symptoms can tell you about the source of your pain and how to prevent future pain.  Learn the typical pain patterns that result from trauma or issues at the lumbar spine, the SI joint, and the hip.  Gain knowledge about the cause of your pain, so you can have a clearer understanding of how to move forward to get rid of your pain and never have it return.
This workshop will contain:
  • Information on pain patterns and symptoms of low back pain
  • Tools to test and diagnose the source of different types of low back and hip pain
  • Exercises to help prevent low back pain
