Move Your Spine – Free Class

Thursday, October 17th at 6pm

Your spine is the foundation of every movement. If you move your spine well, you move well. Join us for this free community class that will help you explore and discover all the different ways your spine can move.

Brenna Backe just got back from a week internship with Ido Portal and is excited to share some of what she learned. Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore.

Recovery Workshop for Runners and Walkers

A Be Balanced Community Workshop in Partnership with Boulder Running Company

Thursday, September 26th at 6:00pm

Does pain or injury hold you back from performing your best?  Do you regularly have to take “time off” from your running or walking routine? Do you want to train at your best and avoid in try? It is time to recover better.  

Join the trainers and therapists at Koa Fit and the team at Boulder Running Company to learn what you can do to help prevent pain in your back, hips, knees, and feet, so you can continue to do the things you love and enjoy the great outdoors. 

In this workshop, we will focus on 3 groups of pain. 

  • 1) Foot pain, including plantar fasciitis.
  • 2) Back and hip pain.
  • 3) Knee pain.

Please come ready to learn about your body and participate. Dress comfortably.

Root and Rise – A Women’s Workshop to Restore and Recharge the Soul

Join Brenna Backe, Milly Malloy, and Colleen Cannon for a day of movement and fun with a dash of empowerment and learning at this women’s workshop.  Get grounded (Root) so you can become your best self (Rise)!

Lately, it seems a lot of ladies have been talking about the “heaviness” – the things, experiences, circumstances, and pressures that seem to be weighing on all of us.  So, we thought it would be a good idea to bring a community together for a few hours of fun, inspiration, and some uplifting activities.

Make new friends and recharge with us.  Expect a morning filled with laughter and calm, movement and stillness, boundaries pushed, minds lightened, and leave feeling energized and inspired.

Mat Pilates Class

Join Master Pilates Teacher, April Ingham, for a free one-hour pilates class!  Pilates strengthens the mind and body by working them in tandem, creating a strong core and lean muscle. Learn how to build strength and maintain full body alignment through the mindful practice of classical Pilates.

Community Meditation Workshop

Part of Koa Fit’s Be Balanced Community Series

Koa Fit welcomes Sky Van Horn for a free community meditation workshop. If you have been interested in learning more about meditation or would like to dive deeper into your practice, please join us for an evening of learning and sharing.

Sky will not only guide you through a meditation practice, but will also help you understand how you can incorporate meditation into your life and practice on your own. Beginners are welcome and encouraged!

Take some time out of your week to help yourself de-stress and re-coup balance. Leave the evening feeling centered and ready to live life to the fullest.

Fit 4 Prevention Donation Class for Cancer Prevention

We’re joining forces with Keep A Breast to get #Fit4Prevention! Did you know that 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week lowers your risk of developing breast cancer by 30-50 percent?

Sign up for our donation class (suggested donation $20). On Wednesday, October 17th at 12pm, we will host a donation-only yoga class led by the wonderful, Rebecca South. Your donation will help Keep A Breast continue to empower young people around the world with breast health education and support!

Our goal is to raise $500 for Keep A Breast during the month of October.  If you can’t join us at our class, please consider donating online by clicking here.
